The Story of an Innocent Princess, Chapter One

Brianna Logan had just given birth to her third child, daughter, Marilyn Monroe Logan.

The beautiful baby girl looked just like her mother, with bright blue eyes, and strawberry blonde hair.

The first eight years of her life were like a dream. She had the best, most encouraging, and accepting parents.

Her older siblings, Kristen and Andrew, although they fought a bit at times, still got along pretty well.

Kristen looked out for her little sister, and Andrew was the best older brother.

By the time Marilyn was 8, Kristen was already grown up, and was finishing college, so that left Andrew to look out for her.

By this time, Marilyn started going by the nickname "Mimi", which, will be what she will be referred to for most of this fic.

Two years later, however, is when things started going downhill.

May 12th, 1999

Mimi was looking forward to this day for weeks. It was the school's field trip to the zoo. The best part? Mimi's older brother Andrew worked at the zoo.

Mimi had her hair in pigtails, and her cheeks were rosy as ever. The moment she stepped off the bus, her brother Andrew was standing right there. She ran up to him, and hugged him.

"Miss Logan, you don't hug the zoo workers!" said the teacher

"Mrs. Porter, he's my brother."

"Oh." Mrs. Porter, the teacher nodded.

Everything was going great. Andrew was showing the kids around the zoo, and telling about each animal, up until the monkey exhibit.

Andrew was explaining the monkeys, when one ran up really close to the bars and started screaming at Andrew.

"Ooh...He's a feisty one, anyways..." Andrew went back to explaining monkeys.

Then, the horrible thing happened.

One of the monkeys bust out, and started attacking Andrew. The children screamed, and ran. "Mimi, RUN!" Andrew screamed as the monkeys attacked him.

Mimi started hyperventilating.

"MIMI DON'T JUST STAND THERE! RUN!"

Mimi watched as the monkeys tore her brother limb from limb.

That was the first, of many bad days.
